For best results, the insertion hole spans in the PC board should be designed as follows: • For 5.0 mm Spans: – Round leads: One lead diameter + 4.50 mm (0.177 in.) = Recommended Lead Hole Span – Rectangular leads: One lead width + 4.50 mm (0.177 in.) = Recommended Lead Hole Span • For 7.5 mm Spans: – Round leads: One lead diameter + 7.04 mm (0.277 in.) = Recommended Lead Hole Span – Rectangular leads: One lead width + 7.04 mm (0.277 in.) = Recommended Lead Hole Span • For 10.0 mm Spans: – Round loudens lead diameter + 9.58 mm (0.377 in.) = Recommended Lead Hole Span – Rectangular leads: One lead width + 9.58 mm (0.377 in.) = Recommended Lead Hole Span
