Theta Axis Timing Belt Replacement

1.Power down the machine and perform Lockout/Tagout according to local procedures.

2. Remove the bolt in the end of the arm link, allowing the link arm assembly to separate from the eccentric.

3.Loosen the 4 screws securing the theta motor just enough to allow the motor to slide toward the machine frame.

Observe that the motor is spring loaded against the theta timing belt.

4.Push the theta motor toward the machined (machining) frame.

Remove the theta timing belt from the motor theta pulley and slip it up and over the insert arm assembly and link arm assembly.

5.Perform the Head Drive Home Pulse Setup Procedure. Refer to the table of contents in this section for the location of this procedure.

6.After completing this adjustment, reset theta positions. Reference  Theta Axis Setup Procedure.
